Rumors have been swirling since the end of UBIV that relocation and rebranding of the Kentucky Klansmen is imminent. The intentions of moving the "Klanchise" is to reportedly appeal to a wider demographic across other markets. Some feel minorities are not warming to the franchise due to its rural home in Thousand Sticks, KY, while others speculate that the mascot may have something to do with the negative sentiment.
Owner/GM extraordinaire Chad Knittel was not available for comment, while a press release from the UFC Commissioner's Office cited frustration in losing one of the"icons of the UFC."
More on this story, as it develops.
